Since I was little I’ve always had a passion and love for early childhood education and knew that it would be my forever career. I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) and have been in the industry for nearly 20 years. Originally from New Zealand, I moved to Sydney, Australia in 2012. I have two beautiful boys called Hugo and Louis.
Owning Stanmore Kindergarten has been a life highlight, it combines everything I am passionate about including creating beautiful environments, sustainability, relationships, leadership and education. We hope you love it as much as we do.
Joanne - Educator and Cook
Hi my name is Joanne I have been at Stanmore kindergarten for over 12 years. I’m a qualified educator with a Diploma in Children’s Services.
I have two children aged 24 and 17 who both attended Stanmore Kindy.
I enjoy cooking and gardening, the best part is the help I get from the children being involved.
My name is Demiana Eskandar, I was born in Sydney with an Egyptian cultural background. When I finished school I went to University at ACU and studied a Bachelor of Education Early Childhood and Primary and really enjoyed my pracs and working with a variety of different age groups. I especially loved watching them grow and develop and knowing that I had been a part of that. I'm also very passionate about travel as I have visited many countries. I also love art such as painting, drawing, crafts, cooking and learning about different animals and I love sharing all these with the children as well as learning about their interests.
Sarah - Educator
I’m a Certificate 3 trained educator in early childhood. I chose this career as I’m passionate about educating children and assisting with their growth and development to help children become confident and involved learners. I’ve been an educator for over 10 years and I have been mentored by some incredible educators who have taught me many valuable skills. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and going to the beach. My partner Mark and I enjoy travelling and experiencing a variety of cultures.
Jasmine - Educator
I’ve completed my Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and ever since i was little I always knew that working with children was meant for me. Working at Stanmore Kindergarten is such an amazing experience from working with the beautiful educators to working with the families. I was fortunate enough to have attended Stanmore Kindergarten from the ages 2-5 years and now I get the opportunity to watch these amazing children grow and learn new things everyday. In my spare time I love experiencing new things and spending quality time with people that mean the most to me, I’m so excited to see where the future takes me.
