What our community are saying

“We love Stanmore Kindy. They provided such wonderful and warm environment for my two daughters, with lots of opportunities for play, projects, and fun! The educators made us feel like family from the first day, their communication was always great, and I was impressed with their thoughtful and creative programming (Ngaire is amazing!). But, most importantly, my two daughters were always happy to be there. Stanmore Kindy is definitely a special place.“

“Our daughter Maddy has thrived at Stanmore Kindy. She Initially went to a large daycare and hated it, so we changed her to Stanmore Kindy and we haven’t looked back. The big difference for us were the educators and the small community feel of the centre. We love that she isn’t in a room with only kids her age and that she can choose to play with all the kids. The activities are amazing and stimulating, she’s learnt so much and really grown. The teachers are very accommodating to our requests such as dropping a sleep etc. We can’t wait to send our son when he turns 2!”

“My two children attended Stanmore Kindergarten from 2017-2020. My now 7-year-old son was attending a 'premium' long daycare centre and while we were happy enough, he seemed to be left to play a lot on his own with friends. There was a high changeover of staff and no one could really tell me what he got up to all day (except when it was mischief). We moved him to Stanmore Kindergarten in his final preschool year and couldn't have been happier. There were more arts, crafts, and visible preschool programs being offered and my son was engaged by all of the activities on offer. I was worried about moving him to a smaller preschool in terms of the friendship group available but I did not need to worry as he actually thrived in the smaller community. He was joined by his 2-year-old sister who also loved being alongside her big brother rather than being in a separate space at the bigger centre.

The food offered is varied, nutritious and more importantly, they seem to eat it. The carers are dedicated, always keen to include the interests of the child in the lessons, and know the children very well. Their handling of hygiene, protocols, communication and empathy during lockdown/Covid was impressive.

The most important factor for me is the educators actually play and engage with the children. It may sound simple enough but it isn't a given at a childcare facility. When I pick the kids up at the end of the day there is a carer doing an activity with them rather than 'waiting it out'. They offer timely, effective and impressive communication (in person and through IT) about daily activities and milestones but do not overdo it at the expense of authentic interaction with the children (i.e. they do not follow them all day with iPad documenting their every move rather than teaching/playing with them).

I recently watched my 5-year-old 'graduate' and the thoughtful ceremony was a testament to the hard work of the educators and their excitement for the children entering their next phase. I am sorry that my third chid starting school marks the end of our journey with Stanmore Kindergarten. I would not hesitate to recommend them to future families.”
